From next month of a normal payment, the insured can check the status of funding of medical account at any ATMs with UnionPay logo, any card provider branches, or check with costumer service of the banks after the 12th of each month.No individual medical account is set up; no funding is transferred to medical insurance card for the insured of hospitalization insurance.5.According to requirement of the use of social security (citizen) card by Municipal Party committee and City Hall, our city will organized the insured to change their Guangzhou Social Security (citizen) card (following referred as SS (citizen) card ) from November 16th, 2006. SS (citizen) card is the electronic proof of applying for medical insurance related transaction for the insured of the municipal social insurance. The card replaces the function of original social health insurance card. The insured can apply for medical insurance related service from the day they receive the SS (citizen) card.
